The future lies in digital and human intelligence taking center stage, such as the GNT Practice which focuses on practices that are acceptable to academia, integrators, business and public authorities – an overdue integrated vision.

Cities have existed for thousands of years and will continue to exist for thousands more: we have as a civilization experienced the good, the bad and the ugly of cities. We have knowledge that is not always applied properly within the identities and definitions of cities, they differ from place to place and this knowledge can be focused on the latest experts knowledge relating to their interest that might or might not be in line with what is best for the city and its adaptation. However, with model digital and human intelligence and new practices of standardization and differentiation we can continue to adapt and move any city from its current point to a point of self-determination and governance within best practices wants to take us whilst we continue to set standards and create factors that determine what makes a city health and happy within the continuums and overall index that we support for the basics of environment, nature and our resource use and economic needs. That is, imagine a spider diagram that is on a continuum of at minimum 8 elements of importance to the city and we want each city to focus on these essential elements of the city, and at least 4 that differentiate it from other cities and this can provide a more manageable transformation of intention and direction. Let’s also ask the question why doctors use a diagnostic sheet of factors to focus on what is important to the health of the human as each one needs to work in synch with the others but one can be the cause of all the others failing and so too with cities we need to know these dimensions and ensure they all are homeostatic ally balanced before we can create permanent change to the rest – makes sense to me, does it to you?

Why digital and human intelligence needs to take center stage and by this I do not mean artificial intelligence which is just a tool of beautification like applying deodorant to your body [I hate perfume which some people feel it is necessary to expose others to]? It is true that anything that can be done in a certain way can be included in the AI toolset however we need to make sure this does not intrude into our decision making uniqueness and try to preserve who we are, else we will soon be replaced by AI -- actually there is nothing intelligent about AI and its use for automation and digital power (waste of too much energy for no return). And so, digital and human intelligence is about creating new opportunities within city practices and continue to adapt, transform, recreate, regenerate and evolve into the future for future generations in a really intelligent way and for us to decide what needs to be automated.

In our fast changing world opportunities for creating a correct foundation are presenting themselves, as climate change is continuing to impact the future, and the terms of sustainability, ESG or other reporting are mentioned with SBTi and CDP as Science and Data based organizations seem to be taking on importance. These are good in the sense that they are identifying the problem areas and the interest groups, however a fundamental broad world digital and human intelligence solution will steer these groups and their influence in the right direction and prevent failures and throwaway and "qua zillion" hours of wasted business man hour time. First, those within these groups setting standards that thousands of companies must eventually adhere have inadequate experience in creating standard and differentiable products, second jumping on the bandwagon are "experts" with no digital metadata experience (where a level of granularity covers all details) that is mathematically and associatively correct, third the lineage from the immediate action level to the future impact level has a huge gap, fourth data is not recorded in factors and granular units and common meaning metadata causing a swirling and inaccurate decision making, fifth "thought leaders" are popping up all over the place with no fundamental science and data, or product achievability and grounding talking about topics filled with air as "experts", sixth high paying jobs are being created for reasons of branding and thus slowing down real progress, and seventh the "facade" this creates for even more "*-washing" and hiding under the radar in the shadows, the list carries on.

Is this a recipe for failure and how can human and digital intelligence be the lead, in channeling and shaping the story?

Having to prove your own footprints is more credible but this does need a common way of measuring quality and quantity where it can differ at different levels and so factors and a scoreboard is a suggestion and common reference within cities is a permanent way forward, where if required less punitive measures can be applied to city for more resilient sustainability. The suggestion and opportunity is to formalize human and digital intelligence practices for instituting “Cities as a Practice” aiming for health and happiness measures in addition to being at the standard of peers with your own uniqueness. Current institutions, including academia have limited impact as they are salaried, but change and transformation can be directed by good common meaning digital and human intelligence design driven by entrepreneurs and startups supported by a common fund under the GNT Practice - where private, public and funds can converge for a common purpose.

The future of cities and practices is about “integrative stories” and this entails the direct interaction of all parties as protagonists and actors to shape the story guided by an ideal future picture and building using current resources and support in a direction where there is reuse and very little redoing using agile philosophy and creating "evolutionary" DNA type capabilities that can persist in out digital and human intelligence future.

Please provide input on how you see a scoreboard and its use within your environment, thank you!

If you are interested in partaking, funding, and being part of the development of this integrative story and movement please join the group at Ecological Future of World Markets [The Digital Practice of Smart Cities] Impact Group. With the contributions of communities interested in their children's future, businesses that want to be high on the sustainability branding, and public services wanting to be part of a practice -- this is for you to contribute now.

How do you see your city's role in its accountability and responsibility to the world future common purpose like climate change, and in terms of the homeostatic balancing of a healthy environment, a rich and biodiverse regenerative and indigenous nature, a ethical and clean supply chain and high quality competitive businesses and individual businesses, and a resilience and healthy demand from business and consumers?

What elements of a city are important to you? How would you quantitatively and qualitatively measure these? How do they impact World Future Common Purpose like climate? What impact is there on futures of Environment, Nature, supply and demand? How would you balance these futures in your city by increasing or decreasing an impact or non impact?
